Before you buy it, there’s one detail to know: four patterns does not mean four complete projects in the box. You get three pieces of fabric and one display hoop.

These are little hoop-sized pieces. If you’re picturing a big framed portrait over the mantel, check the dimensions before ordering.
What someone who stitched it liked—and what gave her trouble
In her hands-on kit review at Notorious Needle, Sarah found most of the designs enjoyable and quick to stitch. She reported plenty of thread, but said it frayed during stitching. She also preferred her own needles because the supplied ones had small eyes.
Her bigger reservation was the instruction booklet: she found no teaching pictures beyond the patterns and wouldn’t recommend relying on it to learn cross-stitch from scratch. Those are her experiences with her kit; we haven’t stitched this one ourselves.
What else might you need?
To make every design, plan on an extra 4-by-4-inch piece of 14-count Aida. You’ll also need additional hoops or another way to display the finished pieces if you want them all framed at once. Sarah reported enough floss for all four designs, but the box still only supplies three fabric squares.
Our take: this looks like a more sensible pick for a Nightmare Before Christmas fan who has stitched a little already. A complete beginner may want a separate visual tutorial alongside the booklet.
