Scarlett Johansson Is Suing Disney For Releasing ‘Black Widow’ on Disney+

Sheesh this is some major Disney Drama!

Everyone knows Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and with the release of the new movie, people have been seeing more of her lately.

Well, looks like we’ll be seeing her even more but it’s not entirely for a good reason…

News broke today that Scarlett Johansson is actually suing Disney for releasing Black Widow on Disney+.

Why? Well, according to reports, the simultaneous release of “Black Widow” in theaters and on Disney+ violated her deal, and cost her serious money.

Yikes!

In legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Scarlett star claims her contract with Disney stated the movie would be exclusively released in theaters. Problem is … Disney broke that deal, she says, when the movie was made available in theaters and on its streaming service.

But here’s the thing – she still made amazing money. I mean, she has been in several movies and “Black Widow” grossed $80 million in domestic box office opening weekend. It grossed another $78 million overseas.

Personally, with the way the world is right now, I’d be happy that people are able to stream from home and keep their kids safe versus having to head to a theater. I guess money really does drive all things.

I have to say, I get where she’s coming from because Disney didn’t hold their end of the deal BUT at the end of the day, it’s just money. Just be happy of the movie’s success so far and move on.
