I’ve been dying for a vacation, not a hotel vacation… a cool and unique vacation, I think I found it.

Before you say… that’s weird… well, it was my doctor’s suggestion to learn to like to drink a little wine.

So, a vacation at a vineyard sounds pretty awesome, try new wines and the best part… sleep in a giant wine barrel!

I’m not kidding, the vineyard has romantic getaway spots that you can stay in that are literally giant wine barrels!

Well, if you love wine and are also in need of a getaway, this may be for you!

There is a place called Quinta da Pacheca that is a 280 year old estate that has a 140-acre vineyard!

Naps and Wine

The giant wine barrels look just like a wine barrel, they’re made from pine and were the brainchild and design of Paulo Pereira and Maria do Céu Gonçalves, the property owners.

Each of the wine barrel suites is 98 feet and situated with amazing views and even has a skylight window.

The suite has a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an amazing front deck to relax on.

There are round beds in the suites, I’ve never slept in a round bed before, have you?

If you get hungry, you don’t need to leave the property because there is a restaurant located on the estate!

The vineyard is located in Douro, Portugal and sounds like a relaxing place to go.

It will cost about $250 a night for your stay at Quinta da Pacheca but is definitely a bucket list-worthy trip.
