On a plate, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, and ground clove.
Coat one side of each slice of bread with olive oil mixture.
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Once heated, place one slice of bread (oil side down), then layer two slices of cheese, tomato, and basil (per sandwich).
Cover with second piece of bread (oil side out).
Cook until bottom is golden brown, then flip and repeat.
Remove, and enjoy!
