DIY Trix Cupcakes

I’m always looking for fresh and fun ways to decorate cupcakes! Whether I’m making them for a birthday or a party, I like to find out-of-the-box ideas that are both original but also completely doable! These DIY Trix Cupcakes are just the ticket! Let me show you how I made these!

  • Baked Cupcakes
  • Icing
  • Colorful Trix or similar cereal we used the Mini Trix for ours

Method
 

  1. Begin by baking some yummy cupcakes from your favorite cake mix!
  2. Spread Icing on your cupcakes. I’m really digging the “naked” iced look that’s in-trend in the cake decorating world these days! Tip: to give your cupcakes this look, just ice the top and leave the sides of the cupcake near the cupcake liner “naked” and unfrosted.
  3. Pour some colorful Trix (or similar cereal) in a small bowl
  4. Decorate the cupcakes with Trix! i like to sprinkle the Trix around the bottom of the cupcakes on the plate too just to give it a confetti look! Enjoy!
