By now you’ve likely noticed that Facebook along with Instagram and WhatsApp are down and have been for several hours today.

It’s unlike Facebook to be down so long. We’ve seen a Facebook outage before but I’ve never seen it last this long.

As of right now, nobody knows why Facebook is down nationwide but Facebook did issue an apology on Twitter.

Yes, Twitter because ya know, Facebook is down.

The Tweet said:

We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Facebook app. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

I mean I am glad they said something but no reason or no ETA when it might be fixed…

According to The New York Times, the outage has also taken out Workplace, the company’s internal communications platform.

Plus Facebook employees reportedly can’t receive external emails at the moment.

So, this seems like a pretty bad outage and of course, people are panicking thinking they’ll lose their photos stored on their accounts.

I am sure they are wanting to restore Facebook as soon as possible and when we know more, we will let you know.
