You Can Stay In Floating Cabins On A Lake In Tennessee and It Is Everything I Need Right Now
Y’all. I have been craving some time on the water. Give me a day at the beach or a day just relaxing on a lake, and my soul will be refreshed! How about you?
There is actually resort in Tennessee, where you can rent cabins that are on the lake. I don’t me they are NEXT to the lake. I mean, they are actually ON the lake — like, floating on the water.
Just a 2-hour drive southeast of Nashville, TN, and 30 minutes from Chattanooga, you will find the Hales Bar Marina and Resort. And, this place is almost too serene and beautiful to be real.

These cabins on the water have one, two, or three bedrooms, depending what you need. And, you guys, you can rent the entire cabin, ON THE WATER, for about as much — or maybe even cheaper — than a hotel.
I’m serious. I just went to the site, and played with all the available dates. The site tells you IMMEDIATELY how much each cabin is for each night of your length of stay.
You just have to input what days you want to reserve it, and it will give you an estimate!
If for some reason you don’t want to stay on the water, they have your choice of a “Land Cabin,” or they have a BEAUTIFUL RV camp where you can set yourself up.
The cabins come equipped with most everything you will need for a super-fun stay. You will find a kitchen, a dining room, bedrooms, and the 3-bedroom units even have washers and dryers.
Our housekeeping staff will have you all set with the necessary items for your first pot of coffee, a roll of toilet tissue, and paper towels. Similar to other cabin or home rentals after initial set up we do not replenish any of those items. So depending on the duration of your stay you may want to put those items on your list of things to bring.

They even have grills that come with the cabins and the RV parks. You can make it an ultimate outdoor adventure, complete with GOOD EATS!!
Of course, there are boats that you can rent: both pontoons and open-deck boats, so you can keep the party rolling on the water!

This is a beautiful place to stay with a lot of activities in the area. Not very far from anything. The hiking trails are to die for amazing. The only setback to this place is that you can’t actually swim there. Me and my girls were so heartbroken for it too. How wonderful would it have been to wake up and just have a nice morning swim right off the front porch.
@Angela, why can’t you swim there? Do they have a beach or something to enjoy the water?
