Netflix Has Renewed ‘Space Force’ For A Second Season And I Can’t Wait
Space Force — that Netflix show that has such great potential — is getting a second chance. It has been picked up for a second season, but things are changing a bit.
The show had a GIANT budget, and they are trying to scale that back. Instead of photography taking place in Los Angeles it will now be moved to Vancouver.
They are also switching things up in the writer’s room, hoping to kick start the show that has such a high hopes for success.
Space Force has a cast list of some pretty big names — Steve Carell, Lisa Kudrow, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Spencer House, Patrick Warburton, Diedrich Bader, Jane Lynch, Owen Daniels, Noah Emmerich, Diana Silvers, John Malkovich, and even more.
So, the star power is there. They just need to get the content up to par, and hopefully things will take off — pun intended.
If you don’t know the premise of the show, it is pretty great. Steve Carrel plays Mark Naird, a Four-Star General in the Air Force, who has hopes of being put in charge of one of the service branches of the government.
He is thrown into the position of lead of the new sixth branch of the government — The Space Force — and they are (hilariously) tasked with “getting boots on the moon by 2024” by order of the President.
See. The show’s premise is great, the cast is a stellar group of actors, the show should be awesome. But, it just kinda falls flat, when it should soar.
Hopefully, Space Force will do much the same as Carell’s other (giant) sitcom, The Office, and just explode in popularity in its second season.
No word yet on WHEN the show will premier, but we will let you know as soon as a release date is announced.
