People Have Been Calling 911 When They Run Out of Toilet Paper and Police Are Begging You Not To

You think that it’s satire, but it is not. People have seriously been calling 9-1-1 when they run out of toilet paper!

A police department in Oregon is dealing with this issue and is urging people to stop.

It’s hard to believe that we even have to post this. Do not call 9-1-1 just because you ran out of toilet paper. You will survive without our assistance.

Be resourceful, Be patient. There is a TP shortage. This too shall pass. Just don’t call 9-1-1. We cannot bring you toilet paper.

Yes, toilet paper is super hard to find right now because people are completely losing their minds. Hoarding. Instead of getting what they need, they are buying up everything they can.

But still, this is NOT a 9-1-1 emergency! There are true emergencies happening and people are tying up the lines because they ran out of toilet paper? They can not help you!

They did offer up some tips though!

One of my favorites was the suggestion of corn cobs! The Oregon police posted about Mayans using corn cobs. They also said the Colonial Americans used the core of the cob.

More tips from the Oregon police were about how Farmers not only used corn cobs but also used pages from the Farmers Almanac. Even pages torn from free catalogs such as Sears and Roebuck.

The Sears Christmas catalog, four times thicker than the normal catalog, could get a family of three wiped clean from December through Valentine’s Day; or Saint Patrick’s Day if they were frugal.

We have got to pull it together people!! There are other options! People survived before toilet paper and so will we! We even have a list of other things you can use in place of toilet paper!
