The Starbucks secret menu is 100% real in 2026 — here are the drinks actually worth ordering and how to order them without being that person.

55;color:#1a1a1a;margin:0;font-weight:500;”>The Starbucks secret menu isn’t an official menu , it’s a community-built list of off-menu drinks made from real ingredients baristas already have. In 2026, the most-ordered secret drinks include the Butterbeer Frappuccino, Purple Drink, Iced Dirty Chai, and TikTok-famous Brown Sugar Oat variations.

Always bring the recipe.

Okay, so I am a Starbucks person. Have been for years. And every single time I go, I watch someone walk up to the counter and ask for something with a name that isn't on any menu board, and the barista either nods like a pro or looks mildly irritated. Both are valid reactions.

Here's the thing about the Starbucks secret menu that nobody actually explains upfront: it doesn't exist inside Starbucks. There is no laminated list in the back. No training manual. No official sanctioning from corporate.

So if you want to order off it without being That Person at the register, there are a few rules. I'll get to those. But first , here are the 2026 drinks actually worth ordering.

What even is the Starbucks secret menu, really?

The Starbucks secret menu is a community-created collection of drinks built from ingredients Starbucks already stocks. No secret ingredients, no back-room specials , just creative combinations customers started naming and sharing online until the names stuck.

The drinks change constantly. What went viral in 2023 isn't necessarily what people are ordering in 2026 , the cycle moves fast.

Is the secret menu still a thing in 2026?

One hundred percent yes, and it's bigger than ever. TikTok didn't slow this down , it made it a whole ecosystem. There are entire accounts dedicated to secret menu content, and some of the newer drinks have gotten genuinely creative.

That said, the classics are classics for a reason. Some of these have been around for a decade and they're still getting ordered every single day.

The 2026 Starbucks secret menu drinks worth actually ordering

These are the ones people are talking about right now , the ones with staying power AND the new stuff that's actually good.

Butterbeer Frappuccino , This is the one that never dies, and it shouldn't. Ask for a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with caramel syrup and toffee nut syrup. It tastes exactly like what you imagine. It's been on the unofficial list since at least 2014 and it still slaps.

Purple Drink , Passion iced tea with coconut milk instead of water, vanilla syrup, and blackberries if they have them. The color is absurd in the best way. This one photographs well and also tastes good, which is a rare combo.

Iced Dirty Chai , This one technically straddles the line between secret and regular menu. It's a chai latte with a shot (or two) of espresso added. Some locations will just make it without blinking. Others will make you explain yourself. Worth it either way.

Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso variations , The OG version went semi-official, but the secret menu spins on it , adding cinnamon dolce syrup, changing the milk, throwing in cold foam , are still running wild on TikTok.

Peach Tranquility Tea Lemonade , Technically a modification, but it's not on the board. Hot Peach Tranquility tea shaken over ice with lemonade. It's tart, it's fruity, it's the move for anyone who thinks the regular iced teas are boring.

Cinderella Latte , Pumpkin Spice Latte base swapped out for half white mocha, half pumpkin sauce, with cinnamon dolce syrup. This one is seasonal-adjacent and the name is cute enough that baristas tend to know it in fall.

Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino remix , Vanilla Bean Frapp with strawberry puree layered in and funnel cake syrup if your location has it. The funnel cake syrup is the wildcard , not every store carries it, so check first or ask nicely.

Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso hack , The Apple Crisp Macchiato is real, but the secret menu version sub-swaps it into a shaken espresso with oat milk and brown sugar syrup plus apple brown sugar syrup. It tastes like fall decided to be a drink.

How do you actually order a secret menu drink without being annoying?

Bring the recipe. This is the golden rule and most people skip it and then wonder why the barista looks at them like they have three heads. The drink name means nothing unless your specific barista has seen it on TikTok recently. The ingredients mean everything.

Pull up the recipe on your phone before you get to the counter. Tell them: the base drink, the syrups, the milk swap, the additions, in that order. If you know the sizes of syrups , pumps , even better. Baristas are not psychic and they're not Google. They're just making the drink you describe.

Also: if you're ordering something complicated during a 7am rush, you already know what you're doing. Wait for an off-peak moment or be prepared for a slightly less enthusiastic response. But what do I know?

poll

Which secret menu era are you in?

Classic Butterbeer Frappuccino foreverPurple Drink loyalistDirty Chai is my whole personalityI only order things on the actual menuWhatever TikTok told me to get this week

pick your answer , no counts saved, just for fun

Are secret menu drinks more expensive?

Yes, almost always. Because you're customizing, you're paying for each individual add. Extra syrups, milk swaps, cold foam , those all cost extra and they add up fast. A Butterbeer Frappuccino can easily run you $7-8 depending on your location.

com/business/2024/10/30/starbucks-prices-menu-changes/” rel=”noopener”>a whole conversation for a while now, and the secret menu is not the place to be budget-conscious. You're paying for the novelty and the taste.

Which secret menu drinks have the best chance of actually tasting good?

Honest answer: the ones with fewer moving parts. The Dirty Chai? Almost impossible to mess up. The Purple Drink? Simple ratio, consistently good. The ones with five syrups and a special drizzle that got 4 million TikTok views? Your mileage may vary significantly depending on who makes it.

One thing I've started doing , and this is genuinely useful , is checking Amazon reviews on the actual syrups Starbucks uses to get a sense of what flavors pair well together before I order something new. You can actually buy Starbucks syrups and experiment at home, which is either brilliant or a rabbit hole you'll never come out of.

Also worth noting: the Reddit community over at r/starbucksbaristas has actual baristas weighing in on which secret drinks they think are genuinely good versus which ones sound better than they taste. That is a resource and you should use it.

The one rule that actually matters

Tip your barista. Secret menu drinks take more effort, more thought, and more time than a drip coffee. If you're going to walk up with a recipe and ask them to make something that isn't on any menu board, you tip for that. Full stop.

The Starbucks secret menu is one of those things that sounds gimmicky until you actually try a well-made Butterbeer Frappuccino in October and suddenly you get it completely.

Just know what you're ordering before you walk up, have the recipe ready, be nice to the person making your drink, and for the love of everything , tip.

The list keeps growing and changing, so if there's a drink you've been seeing all over TikTok that I missed, you already know what to do , make it, decide if it's actually good, and report back.

Starbucks has official secret menu recipes in its app, plus fan-created drinks shared online. Here’s how to order customizations and check availability.

The Starbucks secret menu now has two sides: the customizations Starbucks features in its app and the much bigger collection of fan recipes passed around online. Same nickname. Very different ordering experience.

Starbucks launched its official secret menu in the app on July 14, 2025. Featured drinks arrive with their customizations filled in when you add them to your cart. For a fan recipe outside that selection, bring the actual ingredients and amounts. The nickname alone is asking a lot of somebody who has twelve more drinks to make.

What is the Starbucks secret menu, actually?

The phrase still covers customer-created combinations, but it also includes Starbucks’ own featured app recipes. A drink being popular online does not mean it is on the current app menu or available at every store.

Before choosing one of the recipes below: Check your selected store in the Starbucks app for the base drink, syrups, toppings and available customizations. Seasonal ingredients can disappear, and an older recipe may need a substitution. Prices vary with the store and the changes you make.

How do you actually order a secret menu drink without annoying everyone?

You order by giving the full recipe out loud, not the trendy name. "Can I get a Venti iced blonde espresso with white mocha, vanilla, and extra caramel drizzle" will always go better than "can I get a Caramel Ribbon Crunch secret menu thing I saw on TikTok."

The barista isn't going to judge you for customizing. That IS Starbucks. They will, however, appreciate that you came prepared.

Pull up the recipe on your phone before you get to the counter. Seriously. Just do it.

The Lavender Haze Refresher (and why it’s everywhere right now)

This is probably the most requested secret menu drink of
2026. It starts with a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, swaps the water for coconut milk, adds two pumps of lavender syrup, and finishes with a scoop of dried dragon fruit pieces on top.

The color it turns is genuinely unreal. That deep purple-pink situation basically photographs itself. But also , it tastes good, which helps.

Order it: Venti Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, coconut milk instead of water, two pumps lavender, extra dragonfruit pieces.

The Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso hacks nobody told you about

The Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso is already on the actual menu, but the secret menu version goes harder. Add a pump of cinnamon dolce, ask for oat milk instead of the standard, and request light ice so you're not just drinking watered-down espresso twenty minutes later.

Some people also add a splash of vanilla sweet cream cold foam on top. If you do this, your afternoon is going to be a lot better than you planned.

The Butterbeer Frappuccino , yes, it still exists

This one has been floating around since roughly forever, but it keeps coming back because it's genuinely great. Grande Crème Frappuccino (no coffee), three pumps caramel syrup, three pumps toffee nut syrup, topped with caramel drizzle and extra whip.

Amazon reviewers who have tried to recreate it at home describe the flavor as "warm and butterscotch-y without being cloying" and yeah, that tracks. It's a dessert you drink through a straw, which is fine. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.

The TikTok Pink Drink versus the actual Pink Drink

The actual Pink Drink is on the real Starbucks menu now , Strawberry Acai Refresher with coconut milk. Starbucks legitimized it. Good for them.

But the TikTok version doing rounds in 2026 is different: it adds vanilla sweet cream cold foam AND a pump of passion tea. The cold foam sits on top and slowly bleeds down into the pink, which looks exactly as dramatic as it sounds on video.

Is it better than the original? Honestly, no. But is it fun? Yes.

The Iced Chai Dirty Horchata

This one surprised me. You order a Venti Iced Chai Latte, ask for sweet cream instead of milk, add one pump of cinnamon dolce and one pump of vanilla, then request a shot of blonde espresso poured over the top (that's the "dirty" part).

The cinnamon and the sweet cream together hit something close to horchata. It's way more interesting than a regular chai, and the espresso shot gives it an actual kick without tasting like you just added espresso to chai.

The Ombre Pink Drink that looks more complicated than it is

Venti Passion Tea lemonade, add coconut milk to just under the halfway point, then top with Strawberry Acai Refresher poured slowly over the back of a spoon so it layers. Ask for light ice so the layers have room to exist.

You're going to have to stir it before you drink it but that's the whole point , the swirl it makes when you stir is the whole bit.

Are baristas actually okay with secret menu orders?

Most of the time, yes , as long as you're not doing it during the morning rush when there are fourteen cars in the drive-through.

The current Starbucks menu is the place to check your drink and available customizations. It is not a promise that every ingredient or request is available at every store.

But what do I know? Be nice to the person making your drink. That part is always free.

The drinks that aren’t worth the hype in 2026

Not everything that goes viral is good. I'm looking at anything involving three different syrups plus salted cream foam plus extra espresso plus a drizzle. At a certain point you're not ordering coffee, you're ordering a fever dream.

The best secret menu drinks are the ones where one or two tweaks genuinely change the drink. Not six modifications that bury whatever was underneath.

Simple wins. It almost always does.

Some secret menu drinks now come ready to customize in the Starbucks app. For the fan recipes circulating beyond it, keep the ingredient list handy.

Just do yourself one favor: write down the recipe before you get in line. The barista will like you better for it. And honestly? You'll like yourself better too.

But what do I know. Go get your weird pink drink. You've earned it.

Frequently asked questions

<details>

Is there an official Starbucks secret menu?

</details>
<details>

How do you order a secret menu drink?

If Starbucks features the drink in your app, select that recipe to load its customizations. Otherwise, order the base drink and give the specific changes and quantities, or show the recipe to your barista.

</details>
<details>

Can every store make every secret menu recipe?

No. Ingredients, seasonal flavors and available customizations can vary. Check your selected store in the app before making a special trip; an older recipe may no longer be available as written.

How to order TTB’s Cotton Candy Refresher with a Pink Drink, raspberry syrup and custom cold foam. Check ingredient availability with your store.

The order: A Venti Pink Drink with no inclusions, 2 pumps of raspberry syrup, and vanilla sweet cream cold foam blended with 1 pump of raspberry syrup and light strawberry puree. Check that your store has raspberry syrup and can make the custom foam before ordering.

Cotton candy at the fair has a very specific job: be pink, be sweet, and make the walk back to the car a little stickier. This Cotton Candy Refresher takes the pink-and-sweet part and puts it in a Starbucks cup.

Our custom order starts with a Pink Drink and adds raspberry syrup and a strawberry-raspberry cold foam. Give your barista the ingredients and amounts below so the nickname isn’t doing all the work.

Jump to the ordering recipe

The Cotton Candy Refresher from TTB’s original custom-order recipe.

How to order the Cotton Candy Refresher

Order a Venti Pink Drink with no inclusions.

Ask for 2 pumps of raspberry syrup in the drink.

Ask for vanilla sweet cream cold foam with 1 pump of raspberry syrup and light strawberry puree mixed into the foam.

The syrup goes in two places: 2 pumps in the drink and 1 pump in the foam. Keeping those amounts separate makes this much easier to explain at the counter.

Check availability before you order

This is TTB’s custom drink recipe. Raspberry syrup and custom foam options can vary, so ask about both before placing the order. If the store can’t make that combination, the drink won’t be the same recipe. We haven’t tested a substitute to promise you here.

Is this the Cotton Candy Frappuccino?

No. This order uses a Pink Drink base. Our Pink Cotton Candy Frappuccino is a separate blended drink with its own ordering instructions.

Can I order it by its nickname?

Use the full order above and confirm that the store can make it. “Cotton Candy Refresher” is the name of this TTB recipe; the ingredients are what your barista needs.

Starbucks launched an official S'mores Cold Brew in 2026. Here’s what was in it, how it differed from TTB’s older Funnel Cake Syrup hack, and how to check whether your store still has the seasonal ingredients.

Important update: Starbucks launched an official S’mores Cold Brew with Marshmallow Cold Foam in summer 2026. An earlier version of this page centered on an older 2021 Funnel Cake Syrup workaround and could make it sound like that was the current Starbucks drink. It was not. This page now separates the official 2026 drink from the older custom recipe.

TL;DR

Starbucks really did make a S’mores Cold Brew in 2026. It launched nationwide July 1 as a limited-time summer drink made with Starbucks Cold Brew, marshmallow-flavored cold foam, chocolate drizzle and graham cracker topping. Starbucks did not give a precise nationwide end date in the launch information reviewed here, so check the Starbucks app or your store for current availability. The older Funnel Cake Syrup recipe on TTB was a separate 2021 custom-order hack, not the official 2026 drink.

If you searched this because you remember a Starbucks S’mores Cold Brew and wondered whether you imagined it: nope. Starbucks put a real one on the menu in summer 2026.

That matters because older “secret menu” s’mores cold brew recipes have also circulated—including one here on TTB—and they are not the same drink.

Starbucks launched an official S’mores Cold Brew in 2026

Starbucks announced the S’mores Cold Brew with Marshmallow Cold Foam for summer 2026, with Starbucks Rewards early access on June 30 and a nationwide launch on July 1. Starbucks described the s’mores lineup as available for a limited time during the summer.

What was in the 2026 Starbucks S’mores Cold Brew?

According to Starbucks, the official drink started with Starbucks Cold Brew and was topped with marshmallow-flavored cold foam, then finished with a crosshatch of chocolate drizzle and a graham cracker topping.

That is the drink Starbucks actually put on the menu in summer 2026. It is different from the older TTB custom recipe that used mocha, heavy cream and Funnel Cake Syrup.

Can you still order the S’mores Cold Brew?

Starbucks called the 2026 s’mores drinks a limited-time summer lineup, but the launch information reviewed here did not give one exact nationwide last day. We do not want to tell you a store can make the exact official drink when seasonal marshmallow cold foam or graham topping may no longer be stocked.

The most reliable move is to check the Starbucks app for your store or ask a barista which seasonal s’mores components are still available. If the exact seasonal ingredients are gone, a different customization should not be described as the same official 2026 S’mores Cold Brew.

What about the old Funnel Cake Syrup “secret menu” version?

TTB published a custom S’mores Cold Brew recipe in 2021. That workaround used a Venti Cold Brew, two pumps of mocha, a splash of heavy cream, sweet cream cold foam blended with three pumps of Funnel Cake Syrup, and optional crunchy toppings.

That recipe is historical. It was built around a seasonal Starbucks ingredient and should not be treated as a currently orderable Starbucks menu item. It also is not the formula Starbucks used when the company launched its official S’mores Cold Brew in 2026.

We are preserving the original 2021 recipe card below for archive value and for readers who want to understand the old hack. Ingredient availability has changed since it was written, so check what your store actually carries before trying to adapt it.

Is the S’mores Cold Brew the same as the S’mores Frappuccino?

No. Starbucks brought the S’mores Frappuccino back in 2026 after a six-year hiatus, but it also introduced the S’mores Cold Brew as a separate drink. The Frappuccino is blended and uses the returning layered s’mores recipe; the cold brew is coffee over ice topped with marshmallow cold foam, chocolate drizzle and graham cracker topping.

How much caffeine was in it?

Starbucks’ launch announcement did not list a caffeine number for the S’mores Cold Brew, so we are not going to invent one. Caffeine can vary by size and customization. If the drink appears in the Starbucks app for your location, use the current nutrition information shown there for the size you are ordering.

What should you order now?

If the official S’mores Cold Brew is still showing in your Starbucks app, order that listing. If it is gone, ask which seasonal s’mores ingredients remain before trying to recreate it. And if you are already mentally moving on to pumpkin season, TTB also has the current Starbucks fall menu and our Starbucks holiday tracker.
