Okay. I need everyone who watched Full House on Friday nights to sit down.
Candace Cameron Bure — our DJ Tanner — is a grandma.
Not “playing a grandma in some future reboot.” An actual grandma. To an actual tiny human named Bond Leo Bure.
I am not emotionally prepared for this information, because in my head DJ Tanner is still upstairs trying to survive middle school while Danny Tanner is downstairs aggressively vacuuming something.
Yes, Candace Cameron Bure is officially a grandma
Candace’s son Lev Bure and his wife, Elliott, welcomed their first baby, Bond Leo Bure, on August 4, 2026.
Bond arrived 10 weeks early and weighed just 3 pounds. He spent nearly six weeks in the NICU before finally getting to go home with his parents.
And thankfully, the update now is the one everybody wanted: he’s home and thriving.
Candace shared the news with photos of her new grandson and wrote that she had no idea how much love she would feel for a grandchild, calling it “a love like no other.”
Which is incredibly sweet.
It is also RUDE, because some of us are still processing the fact that DJ Tanner is old enough to have a child who has a child.
Excuse me, when did DJ Tanner become the grandma?
If you grew up with Full House, this one hits different.
DJ was the older sister. She was the kid with the giant bangs and the bedroom drama and the very serious teenage problems that somehow got solved in 22 minutes with a hug in the kitchen.
She was not supposed to become a grandmother before I had emotionally finished being 27.
And yet here we are.
Candace is 50, and baby Bond has officially turned an entire generation of Full House viewers into people who say things like, “No, that can’t be right,” before immediately doing the math.
The math is right.
I checked.
I hate it here.
She already has the perfect grandma name
Even before Bond arrived, Candace had already said she wanted to be called “Candy Gram.”
Which, okay, is adorable.
Also very on-brand for the woman who somehow went from DJ Tanner to Christmas-movie royalty to Candy Gram while the rest of us are still wondering whether low-rise jeans are actually coming back.
So congratulations to Lev and Elliott, and especially to tiny Bond after such a scary start.
And congratulations to Candy Gram.
As for the rest of us?
We’re fine.
We’re just going to be over here quietly turning to dust.
