You know those groups of friends you see and immediately think, Wait. Who are these people, and how in the fuck do they know each other?
I just watched one of those groups walk into Liquid Courage, a karaoke bar in downtown Colorado Springs.
And somehow, every single one of them fit in.
That’s the thing I’m obsessed with here.
The whole group makes sense here
I don’t know how they met. But now I kind of want to, because I love a friend group that makes you do a double take.
They walked in together, and I had that little moment of trying to figure out the connection. Then I looked around the room and thought, Oh. Of course they’re here.
Whatever brought them together, this looked like a place where the whole group could go.
I love that. Finding somewhere everyone wants to be can be a whole damn project, even when you already know each other.
This is why I like going out
There’s something about seeing people together who you wouldn’t necessarily have put together yourself. It makes me curious. It makes me want to get out of my own little routine and be around people.
And tonight, at Liquid Courage, that group gave me a pretty good explanation for why I like this place so much.
I felt like I fit in, too.
So yes, I’m obsessed with a karaoke bar in downtown Colorado Springs. I just watched an entire group walk in and remind me why.
