Totally The Bomb has been online since 2006. In that time, we have published more than 20,000 stories about products, food, entertainment, travel, local experiences, and the cultural moments people cannot stop talking about. These standards explain how stories are chosen, reported, and corrected.
Who writes here
I’m Jamie Slack, founder and editor of Totally The Bomb. I’m the person behind most of what you read here. When I work with a contributor, photographer, or editorial assistant, I assign a real role and review the finished work before it goes live.
How we choose what to cover
We cover things that are genuinely interesting, useful, delightful, or worth talking about. A press release may alert us to a story, but it is a source—not finished copy. We do not promise coverage simply because a brand, venue, or publicist gets in touch.
First-person stories identify what Jamie or a contributor actually experienced. News and preview stories are based on official information and other clearly attributable sources. We do not claim to have attended, tasted, tested, or stayed somewhere when we have not.
Media access, hosted experiences, and review products
We may accept complimentary admission, media credentials, meals, products, travel, lodging, or other access when it helps us report a relevant story. That access does not guarantee publication, positive coverage, or control over the final editorial opinion. When complimentary access is material to a reader’s understanding, we disclose it.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if a reader buys something through a link, at no extra cost to the reader. Some work is paid for by a brand. Sponsored or paid content is labeled, kept distinct from independent editorial decisions, and reviewed for accuracy. Accuracy, updates, and corrections
We verify names, dates, locations, prices, and other factual claims against reliable sources. Prices, availability, schedules, and product details can change; time-sensitive stories are dated and updated when practical. If something is factually wrong, please let us know. We will review it and correct it promptly when a correction is warranted.
AI use
AI tools may assist with research, organization, brainstorming, transcription, production, or drafting. They do not replace editorial judgment or source verification. Everything published on Totally The Bomb is reviewed and approved by a human editor, and we do not use AI to invent firsthand experience, quotations, testing, or sources.
