Editorial Standards
Totally The Bomb has been around since 2006 — and in that time, I’ve written about a lot of things. Products I actually bought. Recipes I actually made. Opinions I actually have. Here’s how I decide what goes on this site and how I make sure it’s worth your time.
Who writes here
I’m Jamie Slack — founder, editor, and the person behind almost everything you read here. I’m a bestselling author, a former kindergarten teacher, and someone who has strong feelings about pop culture, good food, and things that are genuinely worth buying. When I bring in contributors, I vet them personally and edit everything before it goes live.
How I choose what to cover
I cover things I find genuinely interesting, useful, or worth talking about. That includes products I’ve tested, trends I’ve noticed, recipes I’ve cooked, and cultural moments I can’t stop thinking about. I don’t publish press releases as content. I don’t write about things just because a brand asked me to.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy something through my link — at no extra cost to you. Some posts are sponsored, meaning a brand paid for placement or coverage. All sponsored content is clearly labeled. My opinions are always my own, and I only recommend things I’d genuinely tell a friend about.

Accuracy and corrections
I do my best to get things right. If something on this site is factually wrong, I want to know about it. Reach out and I’ll review it and correct it promptly. Prices, availability, and product details change — I update posts when I can, but I can’t guarantee everything is current at all times.
AI use
I use AI tools to help with research, brainstorming, and drafting. Everything published on this site is reviewed, edited, and approved by me before it goes live. AI doesn’t have opinions — I do, and those are what you’re reading.
