You Can Make Jack O’ Lanterns Out Of Milk Jugs And Glow Sticks And They Are Creepy Cool

You can make glowing Jack O’ Lanterns out of empty milk jugs, and I’m totally doing this!!

It is that time of year when we start thinking about all the decorations we are going to use for Halloween.

Sure, it’s still 110 degrees outside, but it’s never too early to start planning!

I already know that I’m going to use these Vinyl Stickers to turn my pumpkins into Jack O’ Lanterns this year — the stickers are also a GREAT template for carving!

But, I am totally going to line the walkway up to my house with these Jack O’ Lantern Glowing Milk Jugs!!

They are super-duper easy to make, so pay close attention.

First, obviously, drink all the milk from the milk jugs — they have to be empty and clean.

(You are going to want quite a few jugs, so hit up your friends to save their milk containers too.)

Next, you draw different faces on the jugs with a black Sharpie Marker.

Fill in the faces COMPLETELY with the Sharpie. You don’t want to leave just the outline of the faces.

Then you are going to fill the containers with clean, cool water. This will weigh them down so they don’t blow away in the fall breeze.

Now, crack a bunch of glow sticks (you can get them at Walmart) and put one stick into each Jack O’ Lantern jug.

That’s it!! Now go put them outside. The glow will last a couple hours, and then you will have to put another glow stick into the jug.

Let the kids draw the faces on the milk jugs! They will LOVE it, and they can brag to their friends how they have the BEST Jack O’ Lanterns on the block.
