Krispy Kreme took the Original Glazed doughnut and made it taste like coffee, because apparently putting the coffee inside the doughnut was the next logical step.
The new Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut is coming for four days only, September 26 through September 29, for National Coffee Day.

Krispy Kreme describes the new doughnut as its classic light Original Glazed doughnut finished with a rich, creamy coffee-flavored glaze.
Online preorders are open through September 25 at participating shops, with the doughnuts available in shops, drive-thrus and online for pickup or delivery September 26–29, subject to availability.
There is also a $5 dozen deal
From September 26–29, participating U.S. shops are offering a dozen Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnuts — or a regular Original Glazed dozen — for $5 when you buy any regular-priced dozen. Online orders use promo code COFFEE.
Limits and participating-shop rules apply, so this is definitely one to verify in the app before getting emotionally attached to two dozen doughnuts.
National Coffee Day means free coffee too
On September 29, participating U.S. Krispy Kreme shops are offering one free small or medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase. The offer is in-shop only and excludes specialty and frozen beverages.

So the schedule is: coffee-flavored doughnut Saturday through Tuesday, free coffee Tuesday, and absolutely no pretending this is a balanced breakfast.
