Mark-Paul Gosselaar Aka Zack Morris is Officially Joining The ‘Saved By The Bell’ Reboot
All right all you Bayside Tigers. Time to break out your high top sneakers and Bayside letter jackets.
Saved By The Bell is getting a reboot, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar is set to reprise his role as Zack Morris!
I mean, would it really be a proper Saved By The Bell reboot without Zack?
No. No, is the answer.
In this new reboot, Zack, who is now the governor of California (How did THAT happen?!?), has gotten in some hot water for closing a bunch of low-income high schools, and funneling them into other, high-performing high schools.
Spoiler Alert — Bayside High is one of the schools set to receive the student affected by the closures. I’m shocked.
Besides Gosselaar, confirmed in the new cast will be Mario Lopez, who will reprise his role as Slater, and Elizabeth Berkley, who will be coming back as Jessie Spano.
Tiffani Thiessen is in “talks” to return as Kelly Kapowski, but is not yet confirmed as part of the cast.
No word on whether we will see Screech or Lisa Turtle in the halls of Bayside, as of yet.
The Saved By The Bell reboot doesn’t have a premiere date, but it is due to come out in April, and will be available on NBC’s streaming service Peacock. .
Go, Tigers!!
What other shows are you hoping get a reboot in 2020?
