How the Subway Lunchtime Horrors giveaway works
Subway’s new Halloween promotion asks people to visit LunchtimeHorrors.com and confess their worst lunchtime regrets from October 12 through October 16, 2026.
Entrants have a chance to receive a $15 Subway digital gift card toward a footlong sandwich. Subway says thousands of gift cards are available; this is a chance-to-win promotion, not a guaranteed free sandwich for everyone who enters. Check the official promotion page for full eligibility, entry periods, prize limits, and rules before entering. There is no need to buy a sandwich merely to visit the promotion.
No purchase is necessary. The release says entrants must be legal residents of the 50 U.S. states or Washington, D.C., age 18 or older. The promotion ends October 16 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. There are five entry periods, with 1,000 $15 digital gift cards available to be won in each; the official rules govern entry and prize limits.
Why is Subway collecting our lunch regrets?
Subway commissioned a survey that found 66% of U.S. adults at least sometimes regret what they picked for lunch. Among the reasons people gave: meals that didn’t fill them up, food they felt cost too much, and choices they considered unhealthy.
The giveaway is part of the chain’s new Feed Your SUBconscious campaign, which features actor Will Arnett as the voice reminding people to rethink lunch.
When does the Subway footlong giveaway end?
Friday, October 16, 2026 is the final advertised day. Don’t assume the promotion will still be running after that date, and remember that availability and prize distribution are governed by the official rules.
