Target Will Be Closed On Thanksgiving Day And Is Launching Their Holiday Deals Early This Year
Now that Walmart has shut their doors on Thanksgiving Day, another big retailer is following in pursuit.
You can now add Target to that list. The company announced today they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Target released their holiday plans in a press release, stating what the company plans on doing to ensure a safe shopping experience during the holiday season.
Starting with Thanksgiving Day, Target will be closed. However, Target says there will be plenty of opportunities to shop for deals before and after November 26th and without the long lines.
Target Circle is a free loyalty program the company offers customers to find out about the latest updates on shopping deals.
Starting in October to avoid big crowds, Target will be releasing their biggest deals and lowest prices on holiday specials earlier this year, in stores and online.
Coming this fall, Target is also making 20,000 more products available for order pickup, drive-up and same delivery with Shipt. This also includes fresh and frozen groceries!
“The investments we’ve made in our business and our incredible team have enabled us to move with flexibility and speed to meet guests’ changing needs during this global pandemic,” says Target CEO Brian Cornell. “This year more than ever, a joyful holiday will be inseparable from a safe one, and we’re continuing to adjust our plans to deliver ease, value and the joy of the season in a way that only Target can.”

Shopping for the holidays will be different this year.
As of right now, I’m happy to hear that retail stores are closing to put the population’s health first, the safety of workers, slowing the spread and allowing retail workers time off to enjoy the holiday with family.
