The Grinch is getting some very loud-looking holiday company.
Illumination’s Merry Minions is joining the holiday celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood this year. So if your family’s Christmas interests include the Grinch, Hogwarts and tiny yellow troublemakers, this is a fairly efficient way to cover a lot of ground.
The 2026 holiday celebration runs daily from November 21, 2026, through January 3, 2027, and the festivities are included with park admission.
What’s new with the Minions?
According to Universal’s announcement, Minion Land will get festive decorations and a meet-and-greet with Minions dressed for the holidays. There will also be seasonal food to buy at Minion Cafe and a Merry Minions merchandise collection.
Holiday outfits on Minions feel like the kind of thing a kid will insist on getting a photo with. Possibly several photos. Plan accordingly.
The Grinch and Hogwarts are part of the plan, too
Grinchmas returns with its towering 65-foot tree, the Grinch and Max, and evening tree-lighting ceremonies with a snowfall effect.
Over in the Wizarding World, the nighttime Christmas show lights up Hogwarts Castle. Hot Butterbeer is also on the seasonal lineup if your idea of a holiday outing includes carrying something warm while looking at lights.
Mario and Luigi have their snowman outfits ready
Super Nintendo World gets holiday décor, including Mario and Luigi snowmen by a Christmas tree topped with a Super Star.
The official photo is a strong argument for leaving a little room in your camera roll. Those mustaches survived the snowman transformation beautifully.
Check your admission and dates before you go
The holiday offerings are included with theme park admission. Food and merchandise mentioned above are separate purchases. If you’re using a pass, check its blockout calendar before choosing a date.
