When I was growing up, having a grilled cheese sandwich was a huge treat.
I don’t know why, but my mom hoarded the making of them for times when kids were sick, dads were out of town or we really had a bad, bad day.
So, it’s no surprise to me that the grilled cheese is special–and a total comfort food.
