Australia Firefighters Announced The Fires Have Been Contained and I’m So Happy
FINALLY! This is the news we have been hoping and praying for. Australia has announced that the fires in New South Wales have been contained!
The fires have been blazing since OCTOBER, and the world has been watching, helpless to do anything but donate money.
I mean, that helped TREMENDOUSLY, but I can’t be the only one that wanted to go rescue and help those poor little animals we all saw burned and injured from the flames!
The rainy — or wet — season in Australia occurs between December and March, so that has helped squash the blazes.
You can notice a whole different atmosphere in Australia! No more smokey skies to choke off the oxygen and harm the wildlife — including the population of people!
Now, however, they have a whole new problem to contend with. They are getting an overabundance of rain!
Creeks and rivers that were bone dry just a few short months ago, are bursting at the seams.
Dams are so full, they are having to release water so they don’t burst.
We are still with you, Australia! Thank GOD the fires are contained, but now there’s still a lot of work to be done.
Thanks to the heaviest rainfall Australia has seen in 30 years, they aren’t out of the woods yet!
