Bush’s Beans looked at Halloween’s least cooperative detail, the weather, and called in a witch. The assignment: put a good-weather spell on cans of Chili Magic.

Yes, there are enchanted beans now. The brand’s October 1 announcement says the WitchTok-inspired promotion is meant to bring a little playful magic to trick-or-treating.

Wait, Bush’s Beans actually partnered with a witch?

According to Bush’s official announcement, a witch cast a good-weather spell on a limited run of its Chili Magic cans. Each enchanted can has a special identifier, and the campaign includes a Certificate of Enchantment.

The certificate names Michelle Lewis of The Blessings Butterfly as the practitioner. Its fine print describes the enchantment as symbolic entertainment and makes clear that no particular outcome is promised. You will still want an actual weather forecast before sending anyone outside in a costume.

Can you buy the enchanted Chili Magic cans?

The limited-edition three-pack launched October 1. The official Bush’s shop listed it for $10.31 when checked on October 10, with shipping calculated at checkout and availability limited to remaining supplies.

The pack includes three varieties: Slow-Simmered White, Campfire Style and Classic Homestyle. Check the shop for current availability before planning your Halloween dinner around a particular can.

What is Bush’s Chili Magic?

Chili Magic is a canned chili starter that helps shorten dinner prep. Bush’s says you can make chili in under 30 minutes with a few added ingredients. Follow the directions on the variety you choose.

That part has a fairly clear job: get something warm on the table before the costumes, candy buckets and last-minute search for somebody’s shoes.

What if the enchanted cans sell out?

Bush’s also shared a DIY good-weather spell as part of its Halloween campaign, so the silliness is not limited to people who buy a pack.

Chili for dinner, costumes ready, a hopeful glance at the forecast. The beans have certainly committed to the theme.
