Category: These Things Are Better Than Your Things
Some products are genuinely life-changing. Most aren’t. This is where we sort through the noise and tell you which ones are actually worth buying — and which ones are TikTok-famous for no reason.
How do you choose what to recommend?
I only write up products I’d buy myself, gift to my mom, or recommend to my daughter. If it’s overhyped junk, I’ll tell you. If it’s quietly amazing, I’ll shout about it.
Do you make money from these recommendations?
Yes — most product links are affiliate links, meaning if you buy through them I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It’s how I keep this site running. That said, no brand has ever paid me to lie. Recommendations stay honest because that’s the whole point.
What’s the most “life-changing” product you’ve ever covered?
Honestly? The boring ones. The cleaning gadget nobody talks about. The kitchen tool that saved 20 minutes a day. The skincare bottle that didn’t break the bank. The flashy stuff is fun, but the boring stuff is what actually changes your life.
If your summer vacation includes s’mores by a campfire or sleeping under the stars, the tent you choose has a big impact during your stay with Mother Nature.
Considering no one wants to spend hours at a time fiddling with a tent that just won’t corporate, thanks to Amazon, now we don’t have too.
For more time spent with family, friends, or simply admiring the surroundings around you, this pop-up tent turns your car into a cabin that isn’t just for sleeping.

An extension to the back of the car that brought you to your weekend gateway, the CARSULE lets you create a pop-up tent in just five minutes or less.

Unlike many tents that simply give you one area for sleep, the CARSULE pop-up cabin is made to do more than to only provide room for sleep when we can merely do that back at home!

A spacious square tent that attaches to the back of cars that have a tailgate that flips up, the cubic shape allows you to mousey around the cabin freely while watching movies on your laptop or eating a sizzling dinner cooked from the fire.

With 6.5ft high head space and a thick felt carpet on the bottom to care for your feet after a day of hiking and exploring nature, each pop-up is waterproof, UV resistant, including two multipurpose windows to see outside or to feel that warm summer breeze.
There is a company that will choose your vacation destination for you — down to the last detail — and I’m about to book my next vacay through them!
I love vacation time, but it’s so hard choosing somewhere to go! There are so many cool places, choosing just one feels kinda like I’m cheating on the others.
And, I always seem to pick the same places — Disney World, The Beach, Gatlinburg. There’s so much more out there, but I never do them because I have FOMO at my favorite spots.
With Pack Up + Go, you don’t have to worry about choosing where you are going, because they do it all for you!
Sound weird? I thought so at first, too. But, check this out.
Before I tell you about them — NO, This ISN’T a sponsored post. I just think it’s a hella cool service that everyone should know about.
What Is Pack Up + Go?
Let us plan your getaway. The catch? Your destination is a surprise.
Pack Up + Go
Pack Up + Go is a company that will literally plan your vacation for you. And, the coolest part? It’s all a surprise until you are headed out the door.
No, they don’t just choose some rando vacation spot. You actually get a say — sort of — in where you go.
The way it works is that you tell them how you want to get to your destination — drive or fly.
You pick the dates that you want to travel and any restrictions you might have
Then, you tell them how many people are going on this vacation with you, and you choose a budget.
Next, you get to complete a Pre-Trip Survey — tell them a little about what you like and don’t like to do.
Some of the vacations they can plan for you are an outdoor adventure, a road trip to somewhere fun, a vacation where you have to travel — by plane or train, or maybe just a staycation.
This idea is so completely cool! It’s like getting a trip for Christmas or a Birthday. I mean, sure, you have to pay for it, but there is something thrilling about a little mystery — being surprised with where and what you are doing.
YOU GUYS… I booked a Pack Up + Go vacation back in November as [my husband’s] Christmas present. And finally, it’s here! This Thursday we leave on a mystery vacation to an unknown destination for four kid-free days enjoying life as a couple. We are beyond excited! But also, it’s SO hard not to open our envelope that came in the mail yesterday!
How it Works:You pick the dates, your budget, whether you fly or drive, and give some preferences on what you do and don’t like to do. Then they plan the rest, and you’re not supposed to open your itinerary until the day you leave for the airport. We did this in 2016 and it was amazing!
Dubbed Coca-Cola Byte, this new carbonated beverage is exactly how it sounds, introducing the new gaming-inspired soda that made its first debut via Fortnite.

Unlike the rest of its competition including familiar everyday flavors such as Coke Cherry, Vanilla and even Orange, this new soda flavor supposedly tastes like pixels?
And yes you read right, just like near the bottom of the can.
Courtesy of Coca-Cola
According to the Coke, the drink’s flavor should remind you of the excitement of powering up a game on a video game console as soon as it hits your tastebuds, including a refreshing finish and zero sugar.
“The drink’s bright, upfront taste is reminiscent of powering up a game, and its refreshing finish makes for a perfect gaming companion.”
However, if you’re planning on looking for this pixelated tin stocked on store shelves, you won’t have any luck considering this new flavor is sold only online, fewer than 25,000 tin cans to be exact.
Typically when we see an enormously large charge on our credit card bill, we automatically think to ourselves “Did someone steal my credit card numbers?”
While we typically think a stranger from a random grocery store was the one who stole our pin, a family member is the last person we expect to be the culprit except for this grandmother, it was.
What looks like a harmless visit to grandma and grandpa’s house turned out to be an order for 20 when the little one got ahold of the shiny square card.
Thanks to @Mark Franks, the grandfather who decided to share the outcome on Facebook after his grandson got ahold of the card, as it turns out grandma decided to take a quick nap and that’s where the handful of food orders and several drink purchases were made to-go.
The collection of photos which show a buffet of coffees from Starbucks, a couple cases of water bottles, and bags of food from the coffee chain including two smoothies, we can only imagine what the total price of this order came out to be; not to mention the $32 tip mentioned in the caption!
The viral Facebook post which has social media users belly laughing in the comments, has raked up almost 8 thousand shares and over 3 thousand likes while grandma and grandpa are trying to decide what to do with all of this newfound food!
If you’re ever wanting to dress up your home a bit, houseplants are a great way to do so.
I love all of the fun and funky pots you can find these days, and these colorful gradient planters are no exception!
There are 5 color options to choose from:
kailochic – Etsy
Turquoise to Pink
Strawberry to Light Pink
Peach to Yellow
Lavender to Purple
Turquoise to Dark Blue
I like these so much I immediately bought two more in other color variations. It’s a clean and simple shape that lets the plant shine. And the colors make me happy every time I look.

Last year’s color changing cups are so well, last year and if you’re looking for an upgrade, the mermaid coffee chain shop has just the thing.
Fitting for the springtime, these color changing tumblers will get you in the mood for April’s showers and more specifically May’s flowers, (hint, hint).
So move over last year’s hot cups in your kitchen cabinet because the winter season is over and it’s time for spring cleaning, emphasis on the word spring.

Introducing the new color changing cold cups from Starbucks, the Cherry Blossom collection!

Inspired by the color of flowers that bloom during spring, specifically the Cherry Blossom, these new cold cups might even remind you of the Easter holiday too considering the pair’s new color pallet is colored like eggs in a basket on Easter.
Dressed in blush pink on one cup and lilac on the other, both Starbuck’s cups are yes you guessed it, color changing.
While both cold cups change colors when you pour something in it that’s chilled, each tumbler simply turns a darker color than it’s original shade.

Complete with the iconic Starbucks logo printed on front, each tumbler comes with a matching colored straw to complete the aesthetically pleasing springtime look!

Kit Kat is giving us an excuse to finally have candy breakfast considering their newest chocolate bar favors a common breakfast snack.
Introducing a bakery inspired sweet treat that might make your fingers and your tongue turn blue; enter, the Blueberry Muffin Kit Kat!

The new rectangular wafer pieces should taste similar to grandma’s homemade blueberry muffins except maybe even better, sorry grandma!

Combining fresh, cooked blueberries, a cake batter-like muffin flavor, and graham cookie pieces stuffed into the bar, it’s no wonder why were putting down grandma’s baked blueberry muffins in exchange for this one of a kind ‘breakfast’ candy.

Colored purple on the outside inspired from the blueberry fruit, these crispy wafers are unlike its competition considering its milk chocolate shell has been replaced with a blueberry muffin-flavored creme instead.

“Our product creators have such passion for deciding which flavor KIT KAT should take on next and making sure it delivers for our fans,” Dan Williard, brand manager of Kit Kat, noted in a press release. “Kit Kat Blueberry Muffin has already become one of our favorites; it has all the taste of a freshly baked blueberry muffin, but no baking required!”
Wrapped in a calm blue packaging, the new Blueberry Muffin Kit Kats are available in the standard sized bar, king size, and snack size bite at retailers nationwide beginning this month in April of this year!
The limited edition bars are unfortunately not a permanent addition to the snack aisle so look for the blue, rather than the red packaging in stores while you can!
