The orange Cheez-It couch from the brand’s football commercials is getting an actual game-day outing. Cheez-It says a fan can bring a group to sit on it at a college football tailgate this fall, with Chase Daniel joining them. Here’s the part worth sorting out before the word “rent” sends you looking for a checkout button.

How to enter—and the deadline

The brand’s September 21 announcement directs fans to the Cheez-It Couch Committee entry page to submit an entry. It opened at 9 a.m. Eastern on September 21 and closes October 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Cheez-It says the promotion is for eligible U.S. residents 18 and older and explicitly states no purchase is necessary.

The brand’s “price of a box of crackers” line describes the couch rental in the campaign. The announcement says the rental fee is compensated and there is no couch rental cost to the winner. Do not buy a box thinking it is your ticket to the contest; use the official entry page and read the complete rules before submitting.

What the couch experience includes

Cheez-It says one winner and up to five guests will join a college football tailgate on the distinctive orange sectional—the same couch seen in its commercials. The announcement promises a dedicated 30-minute meet-and-greet with former quarterback and analyst Chase Daniel, plus photos, autographs and Cheez-It snacks at the tailgate.

That is a chance at a seat on the couch for the event, not a giveaway of the furniture to take home. Cheez-It has not named a specific game or city in the announcement. Check the official rules for eligibility, entry requirements and everything the prize does or does not cover before planning travel.
