All the “cool kids” are using a new term and if you want to be cool, you need to be in the know.

Oh, and by cool kids, I am referring to Gen-Z. Yeah, THAT generation.

I have to admit, although I am only 30 years old, I can’t begin to wrap my head around all the new trends and lingo kids these days keep coming up with.

Can’t we just be cool without all the weird lingo? Guess not.

So, there is a new term and you may have heard it if you’ve spent any time on TikTok latlely — Cheugy.

Yes, Cheugy is the new trend so, WTF does that even mean?

Well, for starters, it doesn’t seem to be something nice.

Cheugy (pronounced chew-gee with a hard “g”) is a term that basically describes older Millennial women as being “basic” or to describe someone that is untrendy, out of date or trying too hard.

So, basically if you love Joanna Gaines, Modern Farmhouse looks, probably anything from Starbucks, Rae Dunn, and basically anything from Target, you are considered a Cheug or you’re being Cheugy.

Really? WTF is that?

As a millennial myself, I constantly feel attacked by the very generation that ate tide pods thinking it was a good idea.

I mean, at least my generation had Pokemon Cards and Trix Yogurt. We didn’t worry about making others feel like crap.

Oh, and my generation does not need to make up weird lingo or trends to try to slam another generation.

So, Gen-Z just stop it. Stop trying to constantly turn the attention towards you because that is SO NOT FETCH (see what I did there?).
