Cold Stone’s Halloween ice cream taco has an orange waffle shell, a chocolate-coated edge and tiny ghost-and-pumpkin sprinkles. Dessert understood the dress code.
The Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco is on the chain’s Halloween menu, and the filling has a detail worth knowing before you order: that black ice cream is cake-batter flavored.
What’s inside the Boo Batter ice cream taco?
Cold Stone describes Boo Batter as its Cake Batter ice cream turned black for Halloween. It goes inside an orange waffle taco, with chocolate and the brand’s Spooky Sprinkles around the outside.
The official photos show white ghost shapes and orange pumpkins mixed into the sprinkle-covered coating. Between those and the bright orange waffle shell, this thing has committed to the theme all the way around.
If the taco format is what caught your eye, ask for Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco by name. The same ice cream also appears in two different Halloween orders:
- Treat or Treat: Boo Batter mixed with KIT KAT, Halloween OREO cookies and M&M’S
- Witches’ Boo: a Boo Batter and Halloween OREO shake with whipped topping and Spooky Sprinkles
Those candy and cookie mix-ins belong to the other builds; they are not listed as part of the taco’s filling.
It’s on the menu through October 31
Cold Stone’s October 1 announcement says the Halloween lineup is available nationwide through October 31, 2026.
Check your local shop’s online ordering menu for the taco’s price and availability before making a special trip. The national announcement does not list a price.
