You can crochet your own Scottish Highland Cow, and this is one project I’m taking on.

There is not much in this world cuter than a Scottish Highland Cow. I mean, seriously. Have you seen them?!?

These crochet versions of the Scottish Highland Cow — aka Heilan Coos — might even be even more adorable than the real thing.

Now, it is important to note that this pattern is for Intermediate to Advanced crocheters. But, that being said, you can learn just about anything on YouTube, right?

Here are the crochet terms you need to be familiar with to complete this project:

Chain (ch)
Rounds (rnd)
Single crochet (sc)
Half double crochet (hdc)
Increase (inc)
Decrease (dec)
Back loops only (BLO)
Slip stitch (slst)
Fasten off (fo)

You are paying for a PATTERN here, and not a finished product. There are 3 different sizes of Heilan Coos included with each pattern. So really, it’s like 3 patterns for one price, right?

To complete each adorable highland cow, you need yarn and safety eyes. The pattern will tell you how much yarn you need, and how big your safety eyes should be.

But, those are just guidelines, right?!? I’d use big eyes on all the patterns, because that’s how I roll.

The pattern was pretty easy to follow but I did get lost a little on the “wig” part.. so I just winged it and made sure to create all the required # of locks and it all worked out great!! I love this little guy!! He is adorable!!

I love that you can use so many different color combinations!! Start planning now for the holidays, and you can make one color for each kid in your family.

Or, I mean, you could give them to adults, too. I would LOVE to receive one of these cuties as a gift!

Easy to follow and turned out great! Definitely would not hesitate to get more patterns from this designer! Thank you!

Each pattern — which is actually 3 sizes — runs less than $8. Totally reasonable for such an adorable pattern!
