Dairy Queen put cold brew in its soft serve, and now a small Coffee Cooler is $3. OREO, Salted Caramel and Toasted Marshmallow are the three choices. So yes, the ice cream stop can also be the coffee stop.

The deal is already running at participating U.S. locations through November 1, 2026, according to DQ’s September 14 announcement. You do not have to wait for National Coffee Day on September 29.

These are frozen coffee treats, not plain iced coffee

Coffee Coolers blend cold brew, DQ soft serve and ice. Whipped topping and the flavor add-ins put them firmly in dessert-and-coffee territory. This is not black cold brew with a splash of milk.

The easiest way to pick one is to start with your usual dessert order, rather than your usual coffee order. Cookie pieces, caramel or marshmallow with cocoa fudge? That narrows it down pretty quickly.

What comes in each flavor?

OREO: Cookie pieces go into the blend, with more on top of the whipped topping. Look here first when cookies and cream is your usual choice.

Salted Caramel: This version gets caramel drizzle, whipped topping and sweet-and-salty pieces. Choose the caramel direction rather than the cookie mix-in.

Toasted Marshmallow: Cocoa fudge goes in the cup and on top of the whipped topping. DQ calls this flavor a limited-time offering, but does not give it a separate end date in the announcement.

The $3 price is for a small

Keep the size in mind when ordering. The announced offer is $3 for a small, not a blanket price for any cup. Confirm participation, flavor availability and your total with the restaurant before paying.

Ordering for two? Two qualifying small drinks would be $6 before any applicable tax. That is a way to try different flavors without assuming an unannounced bundle discount.

You don’t have to make a special Coffee Day trip

September 29 is the occasion behind the promotion, not the only day to use it. The announced price window lasts through November 1; the limited-time marshmallow flavor does not have its own promised cutoff.

For the wider seasonal lineup, our fall food and drinks guide keeps the other launches together. For this stop, just remember to ask for the small.
