Facebook Is Listening To You Through Your Phone. Here’s How To Turn It Off.
All I can say is, I KNEW IT! For years, I’ve had a suspicion that Facebook has been listening to our conversations.
While Facebook has DENIED such accusations, a former employee has recently confirmed that they do in fact listen to you.
I honestly, cannot say I am surprised. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had a conversation about something (without ever searching for it online) and BAM an ad shows in my Facebook feed within a few minutes.
It’s likely you’ve had the same thing happened. It even seems like you can just think something and they know too.
So, if Facebook claims they aren’t listening, but they are, what is going on?
Does Facebook Listen To Conversations?
Facebook claims they do not listen to conversations but many have had theories that they do. Former employees have also come forward saying Facebook does in fact listen to conversations.
The only thing Facebook has admitted to is listening to the mic when you permit it and it’s only listening for certain words. Ya know, like an Apple Pod, Amazon Alexa or Google speakers claim to do.
It’s likely that you’ve given Facebook permission to listen to your mic without every knowing it.
How to Turn off The Setting That Allows Facebook To Listen To You
If you are using an iPhone, follow these steps:
Go to settings and scroll down to find the Facebook App.
Click on the Facebook app and you will see a screen like this:
Next to where it says “Microphone” toggle the button off. So it looks like this:
While you’re at it, you can also turn off access to photos and location.
Again, this is just a good way to ensure you have not given Facebook permission to listen to you through the mic.
This Morning while i was driving friends to work we were having a Conversation,me telling them aboutthe Ancient Mansa Musa’s reign and wealth and after that i went home, out of boredom i went into my facebook accont and on my news feed boom there was a topic about Mansa Musa and his wealth.
Was it just a coincidence?
