Disney has a new Frozen story coming to YouTube this October, and it picks up with Anna after her engagement. A little more Arendelle, without waiting for the next movie.
The short is called The Night Before the Royal Fitting. Disney announced it as part of Frozen Fan Fest, with Anna and Elsa getting ready for a special occasion.
The place to look is Disney Kids on YouTube. That is the official viewing destination Disney named, so you can skip the guessing game with fan-made trailers and look-alike uploads.
This Frozen story has a storybook look
According to Disney’s announcement, the short is part of Disney Off-the-Page Adventures and uses storybook-style animation.
The official preview image shows Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven together, with a rather noticeable mess of ice on the castle floor. It gives you a look at the illustrated style before the short arrives.
Disney’s announced release window is October 2026. The announcement does not give an exact day or premiere time, so hold off on promising the kids a particular movie night just yet.
Frozen 3 is still a separate wait
Disney Parks Blog says Frozen 3 arrives in theaters in November 2027. The Night Before the Royal Fitting is a separate YouTube short, so this is something smaller to look forward to while the next feature film is on the way.
There is something Frozen to watch right now
If “coming this month” is a tough sell to the smallest Frozen fan in your house, Disney Kids has also posted the full LEGO Frozen: Operation Puffins special.
That official upload runs 16 minutes and 11 seconds. Anna and Elsa are trying to make their castle more comfortable, while the Duke of Weselton and some troublesome puffins have plans of their own.
You can start with the LEGO special, then keep the Disney Kids channel handy for The Night Before the Royal Fitting.
