Gluten Free Chili-Mac Bites
Getting kids curious about the foods they eat and how they are prepared is so important for building good eating habits. The easiest way to teach kiddos about gluten free foods or other types of ingredients is to let them experiment. So, we experimented and came up with this awesome recipe for Gluten Free Chili-Mac Bites.
Ingredients for Gluten Free Chili-Mac Bites
- 1 box Horizon Gluten Free White Cheddar Mac-and-Cheese
- 1 can of Gluten Free Chili
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup shredded real cheese (which is naturally gluten free)
Helping Your Kiddo Make Chili-Mac Bites
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Grease cupcake/muffin tin well.
Cook your Horizon Gluten Free White Cheddar Mac-and-Cheese in a pot on the stove, per the directions on the box.
Spoon cooked Mac-and-Cheese into muffin cups until about 2/3 full.
Using small spoon or melon-baller, nestle approximately 1 tablespoon of chili into a well in each Mac-and-Cheese-filled muffin cup.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over the top of each filled muffin tin.
Place in oven and bake for 10 min or until cheese browns on top.
Allow to cool before little hands try to snatch.
