Home Depot is going very big with Christmas 2026, including a 6.5-foot app-controlled Santa that is basically another person standing next to the tree.
The retailer specifically included the 6.5 FT Animated LED App Controlled Santa in its official 2026 holiday-decor announcement, alongside an even taller 8.5-foot Towering Santa.
The Christmas collection starts rolling into stores October 5
According to Home Depot’s 2026 holiday announcement, the holiday-decor collection begins rolling into stores nationwide on October 5.
The company says this year’s assortment leans into oversized animatronics and statement pieces, and the app-controlled Santa is one of the examples it calls out by name.
Which means if your holiday decorating style is “subtle little bowl of ornaments,” this is probably not your Santa.
This is a different lane from the old singing Santa
TTB has covered a life-size singing and storytelling Santa from Home Depot before. This current 2026 version is being promoted as an app-controlled Santa, so it is worth treating it as a separate product instead of refreshing an old article and pretending nothing changed.
That distinction also matters if you are searching the Home Depot Christmas section. “Animated Santa” can turn up several different decorations, including much larger outdoor pieces.
Measure before you fall in love with him
The one detail we absolutely do know from Home Depot’s own announcement is the scale: 6.5 feet. That is tall enough to change the layout of a room, especially once the tree and gifts are in place.
If you want this exact look, search Home Depot’s 2026 holiday collection for the 6.5 FT Animated LED App Controlled Santa and check the current product listing for your local price, stock and delivery options.
For the shelves around the tree, Target’s Hearth & Hand Christmas preview has little glass houses and a tabletop musical TV. Those picks launch online October 4.
And if that feels like a little too much Santa for one living room, our new Christmas finds guide has smaller options from this year’s holiday releases, too.
