Hulu’s October 2026 schedule is here, and the first day of the month is doing a lot. There are scary movies, family picks, an entire run of Die Hard, and somehow The Holiday too. I respect the chaos.

What arrives on Hulu October 1?
For Halloween viewing, Hulu lists Barbarian, Hereditary, Midsommar, The Substance, The Empty Man, The Hills Have Eyes 2, Nightmare Alley, and Soulm8te for October 1. The same day brings the original Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.
Want something lighter? Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania 2 also arrive October 1, along with Big City Greens seasons 1 and 2, Soul, and all three Night at the Museum movies. And if your idea of October comfort viewing is The Holiday, yes, it is on the list.
What else is coming later in October?
- October 6: Reasonable Doubt season 4 and all six seasons of Private Eyes.
- October 7: Hulu original Clown Panic and Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself.
- October 10: Hokum.
- October 14: five Hunger Games films, including The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
- October 18: Companion and Wolf Man.
- October 20: Hulu original Phony.
- October 24: Dolly and Monsters: Truth Behind the Myths season 1.
My first-night shortlist would be Ghostbusters for fun, Hereditary if I actually want to be scared, and Hotel Transylvania if the room has kids in it. That’s a viewing suggestion based on the lineup, not a claim that I’ve watched these October additions on Hulu already.
