IKEA’s new animal collection includes a red panda you can take home for $12.99. No hiking required.
ALPTALL takes its inspiration from nine Himalayan animals and was developed with wildlife conservation organization Nordens Ark. The collection includes plush toys and textiles, with hand-drawn illustrations by Malin Gyllensvaan.
The red panda has accessories
The ALPTALL red panda plush is listed at $12.99 on IKEA’s U.S. site. It measures 14¼ inches and is recommended for children 12 months and older.
There’s also a red panda hooded towel for $19.99. It’s 100% cotton and measures 27½ by 55⅛ inches.
Together, the plush and towel come to $32.98 before tax or delivery. That’s a useful little pairing if you’re shopping for a child who has picked one animal as their entire personality.
Look beyond the panda, too
The collection also includes a yak, snow leopard and wonderfully grumpy-looking Pallas’s cat. IKEA says the plush toys use 100% recycled polyester.
Check local availability before making the trip. An empty toy shelf is a lousy ending to a red panda mission.
