Kim Kardashian Wears Marilyn Monroe’s $5 Million “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” Dress and It Is Stunning

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to Met Gala surprises and if you thought this year would be any different, think again.

You may remember in 2019 when Kim showed up to the Met Gala wearing her “wet look”.

Then in 2021 (2020 was a crap shoot) she wore a mysterious Balenciaga Zentai-style outfit.

This Year, Kim decided to take a classic for a spin and by classic, I mean vintage dress.

A few days ago, rumors began circulating that Kim was transforming herself into Marilyn Monroe with a modern twist and now we have confirmation just that has happened.

Kim Kardashian showed up to the Met Gala wearing Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress.

It was the dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy on May 19, 1962.

Honestly, it may just be her most stunning look yet. It’s simple yet elegant. A true classic.

When Kim was asked why she decided to wear the classic dress, she replied:

“The idea really came to me after the gala in September last year. I thought to myself, what would I have done for the American theme if it had not been the Balenciaga look? What’s the most American thing you can think of? And that’s Marilyn Monroe,” says Kardashian.

“For me the most Marilyn Monroe moment is when she sang “Happy Birthday,” to JFK, it was that look.”

Honestly, she looks stunning but I’d totally be scared to rip it or spill something on it because it’s irreplaceable.
