Okay, I love this. We have been writing letters to Santa forever, but apparently Jack Skellington gets mail, too. And if you send him a letter this Halloween, you can get one back.
Tulare Parks & Recreation in California has brought back its Letters to Jack Skellington program for 2026. You can tell the Pumpkin King about your costume, your Halloween plans, or whatever spooky little question has been on your mind. A kid can draw a picture instead. Honestly, I kind of want to write one myself.
Where to send a letter to Jack Skellington
Put this on the outside envelope:

Mail it by October 16, 2026. That is the deadline in the current program announcement. I would get it in the mailbox earlier, especially if it has a long way to travel.
How to get a letter back
Here is the tiny but crucial detail: tuck a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside with your letter. Write your name and mailing address on that second envelope, put a stamp on it, and leave it unsealed. Then stamp the outside envelope, too. The stamp on your return envelope does not pay for the trip to Jack.
That is it. No elaborate craft project required, although I will never stop you from breaking out the Halloween stickers. Tell Jack what you are dressing up as, draw your dream Halloween Town, or ask him what he thinks of your pumpkin-carving skills.
The program is run by Tulare Parks & Recreation, rather than Disney, and the city has not promised an exact date for replies. Make the letter a fun Halloween activity now, then let the return mail be a surprise.
