Some Advent calendars give you a tiny sample you’ll lose in a drawer by December 3. Manucurist apparently heard that complaint, because its two 2026 nail calendars promise 24 full-size surprises each. And now I have questions about which one belongs under the tree.

The choice comes down to how you actually do your nails: regular air-dry polish or LED-cured Green Flash polish. Here’s the difference before you spend $139 or $179.

The $139 Time to Shine Advent Calendar

Time to Shine is the regular-polish option, combining Manucurist Green colors, Active makeup-meets-care nail products, hand care and tools. The brand lists eight Green nail polishes, three Active care polishes, four Green manicure essentials, four hand-and-nail care products, four manicure accessories and one case of biodegradable gold glitter. That’s 24 full-size surprises, and the included Active Shine Icy is exclusive to this calendar.

The best part? The Green and Active products air-dry. You won’t need to buy an LED lamp just to use the polish.

The $179 Time to Flash Advent Calendar

Time to Flash is built around the brand’s Green Flash LED-cured polish system. It includes ten Green Flash colors, five Green Flash essentials, four nail-and-hand care items, four manicure accessories and biodegradable gold glitter, according to Manucurist.

But here’s the catch: the $179 calendar does not include an LED lamp or Green Flash remover. Manucurist says you’ll need both for this system, so factor those in if you don’t already have them. The brand also offers bundles that include the extra supplies.

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose Time to Shine ($139) if you want conventional air-dry polish and nail care without an LED lamp.
  • Choose Time to Flash ($179) if you already have the Green Flash supplies or want that LED-cured system and have budgeted for the lamp and remover.
  • Skip both if you rarely paint your nails. Twenty-four products are a treat only if you’ll actually use them.

Is a full-size nail Advent calendar worth it?

For someone who regularly buys nail polish, nail-care treatments and manicure supplies, I get the appeal. You’re not paying for 24 tiny bottles you’ll use once. You’re getting colors, practical tools and nail care in one very festive package.

I’d start with the polish system you’ll actually use, then compare the colors and nail-care products in each calendar. Stock and prices can change.

And if you need ideas for all those colors, our Halloween nail designs and Thanksgiving nail art should keep you busy.
