It’s not only a tradition to watch Christmas movies during the holidays but it also helps many of us to destress as we watch Buddy the Elf reconnect with his dad and laugh at Kevin McCallister show us who’s boss against two burglars.

A tradition that is universally cherished, which is watching the same Christmas movies every holiday season, consumer site Comparitech set out to discover which classic Christmas film takes the cake with all 50 states.

According to the results and at no surprise, Home Alone reigned king as the most popular Christmas movie among all 50 states by winning over 9 total states.

Shockingly, the movie Elf starring the hilarious Will Ferrell, only conquered one state Idaho, which makes me question the remaining 49 state’s Christmas cheer!

The Polar Express was another popular vote among the states and even Die Hard (which is questionable to whether or not this movie should be included in Christmas genre), won over a two states including Alaska and Washington.

Personally, A Charlie Brown Christmas is my Christmas pick every holiday season and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
