This McDonald’s Is Testing a New Drive-Thru System Where a Robot Will Hand You Your Food Order

When we’re in a hurry for a fast meal, drive-thrus are quick and easy to settle our cravings.

And if you’ve ever salivated for McDonald’s french fries while driving past the smell two miles before, you may have snuck in the drive-thru so you don’t to leave the warm car for the cold outside.

While most drive-thrus are greeted with another human, this McDonald’s drive-thru is testing out a new system.

Thanks to one TikToker @foodiemunster who recorded the entire interaction, this McDonald’s drive-thru will hand over your food with a robot.

So whether you’re ordering the Big Mac with chicken nuggets or simply a large fry, your food will be pushed out slowly by a robotic machine with to-go bags with handles so you can grab and go!

And it even looks like your food order can be punched in with a kiosk as well.

Although while there may be robots handing your to-go bag, the video looks like it still showed humans in the store making the orders that are continuously coming in.

So if you pass by this McDonald’s on your way over to grab your Happy Meal, don’t be alarmed if you see a robot rather than a person handing you your order through the drive-thru window.
