Who Is This New Blippi, And What Happened To The Old One?

If your kids are addicted to the larger-than-life character that is Blippi, you may have noticed Blippi looks just a little different.

Stevin John, the creator of Blippi, is apparently needing a little help in the world of Blippi, so there is now a second Blippi in town.

This all started when parents were ENRAGED that Stevin wasn’t going to be showing up as his famous character in the live Blippi shows.

People had already bought their tickets and everything, and then they found out Blippi was being swapped for a stage actor that wasn’t Stevin — like kids wouldn’t notice that?!?

I mean sure, Blippi would still be acting over the top, and wearing his trademark orange eyeglasses, hat, bowtie and suspenders, but people thought they were paying for Stevin, and instead they were getting an imposter of sorts.

Steven has embodied the persona that is Blippi since 2014, and even though this stage actor — Clayton Grimm — kinda looks similar to Blippi, it’s just not the same thing.

In a move that is reminiscent of when Blue’s Clues lost Steve, this week saw Grimm show up as Blippi in a new Learn with Blippi show on Saturday morning.

Due to popular demand we are bringing more Blippi from The Live Show to you all! ? Don’t miss the launch of ‘Learn with Blippi’ tomorrow on Blippi’s YouTube channel. Who’s ready!?

Fans and parents immediately chimed in — as if no one would notice.

It turns out — there are now going to be TWO Blippis.

Blippi, Stevin John, isn’t going anywhere. John will continue to bounce and beep his way through family-friendly attractions in videos to come, with Grimm — helming a set-based format that’s more in line with the Blippi stage show, which will resume touring this summer.

In order to bring out more Blippi content, they are going to split the programming between the TWO Blippis.

Blippi

I mean, shouldn’t they call him Bloppi or Flippi or something different? Having two different Blippis is not going to fly with kids or parents.

What do you think about this new addition to the world of Blippi?

  1. I’m disappointed. My son didn’t notice, but I was accompanying my son, since he was born in 2015 and we were watching Blippi together a lot! It’s not the same and I hope Stephen knows that.

    1. @Dawid, at least this new blippi didn’t do any sick 🤢 videos like the original

  2. My grandsons didn’t notice, but I did…since I am now forced to watch him with them! And since I’ve become a big Josh DelaCruz (newest host of Blues Clues) fan, I don’t mind. It’s like which, “Batman (or Spiderman) is the best?” They all bring their own personal charm to the role, as will Clayton G!

  3. My grandkids noticed immediately that that was a different blippi. They were sad and they thought blippi got sick. I understand the need for help but kids are kids. They like the original.

    1. @Nana letty, i read it’s because his fiance is getting ready to have a baby

  4. My husband noticed right away but the kids and I didn’t. (Hence the Google search and finding this article..) Bloppi’s voice is much easier to listen to LOL. Stevin’s voice drives me batty.

  5. He could have just quit on y’all. Be happy he doubled, dang.

  6. Not even close my 4yr old grandson called it immediately saying that’s not Blippi. Thankfully I was able to explain how Blippi was hurt badly in an excavator accident & then mauled by a T-Rex & finally thrown in a Garbage Truck

  7. It’s very sad not to see “our” real B L I P P I 🤢

    Just not the same ;(

  8. My kid is scared of the new blippi 2.0

  9. Stevin had a kid so I get wanting to have more time for your family! My kids are obsessed with him and haven’t said a word about the new blippi. If it’s such a big deal, play the older ones. There’s plenty to choose from.

  10. My 2 year old grandson does not notice!!! Lol so whatever

  11. Yeaaaahhhh…not the same at ALL. Grandkids will not watch Blippi 2.0. And like another I saw posted, I was somewhat disappointed when Blippi 1.0 test drove a Ferrari and Lambo. Seriously?? Let’s stick to kid content like the Zamboni, fire trucks and such.

  12. My children loves blippi. I think the new addition ( new blippi guy) should have been announced by tge real blippi as a cousin a brother a friend or something. Not try to pretend its tge same guy . Lol

  13. I like the new blippi much more!! He’s scripted and appropriate

    1. @Florence, finally someone sees it the way I do

  14. As a Grandparent I’m Disappointed, nevermind my grand kids!!! We are not ready for a substitute! What would have happened if they did this with Mr. Rogers…Come on Now

  15. My grandson doesn’t want to watch any of the new Blippi episodes. I have put on the old ones. He is only 2 1/2 years old and he knows the difference. I he makes me turn it off right away when he sees the fake guy.

    1. @Mick,
Yes, my 2 1/2 noticed right away too!
      “No. No. I want Blippi!”
I had to change it back to the “real” Blippi.
      Then smiles were back😊

  16. This isnt going to work my daughter is obsessed with blippi has been since day 1 she has autism and notices change and told me this is not blippi mommy wheres he gone
I understand that his under a lot of pressure but surely you didnt think this man can be you ,you got these views through the way you are no1 can be you ,you are 1 in a million no can act you

  17. My grandson loves the old Blippi. the new one is not the same. I am not sure why you would change a good thing. that is how thing gon down hill if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. my grandson loves Stevin John! they know the difference.

  18. My kids and I noticed right away. Let me be frank and apologize in advance. The new guy sucks and I feel like my kids are getting played. I should have eliminated their blippi addiction when I saw them watching him test drive Ferrari and lambos. He is finally too big for his suspenders in my book and I’m going to block all programming and throw out the dolls and books we purchased. Blippi is dead in our house.

  19. Not liking the new Blippi

  20. We started with the original Blippi & will not watch the new one. Our grandchildren don’t like the new one at all. Splitting the job up should be ok with different names, but right off the bat we all noticed it

  21. Would only work if they were identical twins. There is only one Blippi

  22. My 2 year old grandson noticed right away that Grimm wasn’t “my Blippi”, and refused to watch him.
Thank goodness I was able to find Stevin, “my Blippi”, for him to watch.
Change the hat up a little and introduce him as Blippi’s brother, Bloppi.

  23. I was pissed! My 4 year old didn’t even notice. I asked him if he noticed anything different about Blippi and he said “nope, still the same”. He was watching Blippi since he was 1, so it says something. To be fair this new Bloppi acts exactly like Stephen and looks a lot like him, so no harm done.

  24. I’m pissed, my 5 yr old doesn’t care. She insisted “he’s just older now, it’s the same guy”

I looked for an explanation episode, nothing… I’m obviously more torn up than the kids about it haha.

I think introducing him as Blippi’s buddy would have been better.

    1. @Drake, should call him JIPPI!!!!
