Bohemian Rhapsody is the perfect song. That’s not an IMHO kind of thing, that’s a cold, hard fact. Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever written, ever performed, and ever listened to on any road trip and I’ll fight anyone who disagrees with me. That’s why I was so excited to see Pentatonix had come out with an acapella version of the song. From the first notes I was like, “YAaaaassss!!!!!” This is what I’d been waiting for. And then as it went on I was like, ummm… Take a look!
Thing is, the thing that makes Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody so epic is that it is the perfect mixture of rock opera, acapella, and heavy guitar. It’s brilliant. An all acapella version of it takes away part of the glory. IDK, I might be wrong. Maybe it’s perfect in its own little way and I can’t see it. What I wish, what I would have loved, is if they had taken this song and truly made it their own rather than a lacking remake of the original. What do you think? Tell us about it in the comments!

For what it is as an Acapella rendition it is very well done without the instruments and thwm just using thier voices I must say this is a great rendition and thats just what it is it is their rendition and not a remake.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I thought I was the only one who felt this way. They have done so many great things but I don't believe this is one of them. If you are going to cover an epic song that never goes out of style, then you need to really step it up.

I used to sing in Madrigal Singers in high school (1982), so I appreciate the talent this group has. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of those songs that really should not be changed. It's classic in it's own right. To some of us, changing this song would be sacrilege. I'm an old-time Queen fan and a fan of Pentatonix as well. I think it's very well done and absolutely love it. I don't see any lack in the performance, but then, I am of the mind that unless I can do better than the original myself, or better than this group (which I can't), I don't have room to criticize. Thanks for sharing it!
