Season 2 of ‘Wednesday’ Could Include More of the Addams Family. Here’s What We Know.
Rather than Christmas in July, Netflix’s new series Wednesday introduces Halloween in November.
A spooky series right before Thanksgiving is currently trending #1 in shows and the hit series isn’t stopping there, or at least they hope.
The new show revolves around the character Wednesday played by Jenna Ortega, and is a new take inspired by The Addams Family which was originally created by Charles Addams.
While the show Wednesday has yet to be renewed for a second season, co-showrunner Miles Millar says the Addams family could be featured more in a second season if another was to be approved.
“We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Millar explained to TV Line in an interview. “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

The co-showrunner also mentioned to TV Line that they, “definitely want to feature the family as we did this season in a couple of episodes if we were to get a second season.”
Here’s hoping for a new season!
And if you’ve been missing the Halloween season, let me remind you that Wednesday is currently streaming on Netflix with eight new episodes to binge-watch!
