There is a really old episode of Sesame Street that was pulled from syndication, because it was too scary for kids.

I should say “allegedly.” It was allegedly pulled because kids were getting scared.

BUT now, thanks to the magic of social media, you can see this “lost” episode in its entirety.

It might be a good idea to watch it without your little munchkins in the room. Haha!

The episode featured someone who TERRIFIED me as a child, so I can see why the littles were afraid.

When I was a tiny child, I couldn’t watch parts of The Wizard of Oz. That whole tornado, the forest where the trees were alive, those monkeys and — that green witch.

I’m talking about that freaking scary-as-hell witch that terrorized the town of Munchkinland and Dorothy.

She gave me hella bad nightmares.

Whenever my brother and sister turned it on, I would put a pillow over my head and sing “LaLaLaLaLa” quietly to myself so I couldn’t hear anything that was going on.

It seems, I’m not the only one who was affected by that horrifying witch.

According to Muppet Wiki, after the episode aired Sesame Street was inundated with letters begging them not to show the episode again.

So allegedly, the powers that be at Sesame Street pulled the episode from rotation.
