The lamp plug should not get the final vote on where your couch goes.

But when a bulky plug is the thing keeping a nightstand or cabinet away from the wall, it becomes a very annoying decorating detail.

Sleek Socket puts a thin cover over the wall outlet and moves the place you plug things in farther down an extension cord. The bulky connections can go somewhere more convenient.

One cover, an 8-foot cord and three outlets

The single-cord version listed at Walmart has an 8-foot cord ending in a three-outlet power strip. According to the product details, the cover plugs into the top receptacle of a duplex outlet without tools.

It also comes with removable, double-sided adhesive strips and cord clips to hold the cord along the wall. Because hiding the plugs is only half the job if the cord is still wandering across the room.

The appeal is easy to see behind a nightstand or media cabinet: a thinner connection at the wall, with the usable outlets moved to a spot that works better for your setup.

Check your outlet before ordering

Walmart specifies standard duplex outlets with the round ground opening below the two flat slots. Match that orientation and check the fit before buying.

Also, measure the path the cord needs to take. A low-profile cover can help with plug clearance, but it does not guarantee every piece of furniture will sit flush against the wall.

Walmart listed this 8-foot version at $22.94 when checked on October 5, 2026. Price and availability can change.
