Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Is Happening And I Can’t Wait
There is going to be a Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and that sound you just heard were the shouts of joy my children just let out when they heard the news.
The movie is still pretty early in the development stages, but Paramount and Sega Sammy have confirmed that there WILL, indeed, be a Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The powers that be are planning to bring back the original director of the Sonic the Hedgehog film, Jeff Fowler. I’m okay with that. He did an AWESOME job with our favorite little blue hedgehog the first time around.
The script hasn’t even been written yet, but they — whoever “they” is — are planning on bringing back the writers that worked on the original movie script, Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
Now, the original Sonic the Hedgehog starred Ben Schwartz as the lead, obviously, Sonic the hedgehog. We also had the talents of Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Neal McDonough, Natasha Rothwell, and a SLEW of other wickedly awesome actors.
I would HOPE they would bring back the original actors to play in the sequel, but there is just no word, yet. It’s too early on in the process to even discuss such things.
The first film, Sonic the Hedgehog, was released to theaters in February — and then COVID-19 happened. Next thing we knew, everything was closed, and we didn’t know if we were going to get to experience more Sonic anytime soon.
LUCKILY, the film studio decided to release the movie early for at-home streaming, and I know MY family purchased it on day one! I’m going to bet we weren’t alone. Ha!
As soon as we hear ANYMORE information on Sonic the Hedgehog 2, you know we will pass the information on to you.
