If you spent years asking Starbucks to bring back the Eggnog Latte and then immediately panicked when it finally returned, apparently you are not alone.
People are already looking for the Starbucks Eggnog Latte for 2026, which raises the obvious question: Is Starbucks bringing it back again this year?
Here’s the actual answer right now: Starbucks has not officially confirmed the Eggnog Latte for its 2026 holiday menu yet.
But there is a very good reason people think it could return.
Starbucks finally brought the Eggnog Latte back in 2025
This wasn’t just another holiday drink that quietly disappeared for a season.
The Eggnog Latte had been gone from Starbucks’ regular U.S. holiday lineup for several years before Starbucks finally brought it back on December 2, 2025.
Starbucks said customers had been asking for it, and its beverage team went through more than 30 recipe versions while bringing the drink back.
The final version featured Starbucks signature espresso with steamed eggnog, creamy foam and ground nutmeg. Starbucks also offered an iced Eggnog Latte and Eggnog Cream Cold Foam.
So, is the Starbucks Eggnog Latte coming back in 2026?
As of September 29, 2026, Starbucks has not announced its full 2026 holiday menu, so there is no official confirmation that Eggnog Latte is returning.
That’s the important part.
If you are seeing lists online claiming the entire Starbucks Christmas menu is already confirmed, take those with a very large peppermint-striped grain of salt.
Starbucks is still publicly in fall mode. Its current seasonal announcements include the Aerocano and Mini Pies launching September 29, while the company’s full 2026 holiday lineup has not been announced.
But Eggnog Latte has a much better chance than it did a year ago
Before the 2025 comeback, asking whether Starbucks would bring Eggnog Latte back required a lot more wishful thinking.
Now we at least know Starbucks was willing to resurrect it.
The Eggnog Latte is also kind of a big deal in Starbucks history. Starbucks says it dates back to 1986 and was its first-ever holiday espresso beverage.
So this isn’t some random drink somebody invented on TikTok last December. It is literally one of the drinks that started the whole Starbucks-holiday-drink thing.
That does not mean a 2026 return is guaranteed.
But after Starbucks went through the trouble of reformulating it and bringing it back in 2025, this is absolutely one of the drinks we’re watching hardest for the 2026 holiday season.
When would the Eggnog Latte return?
Here’s another thing worth remembering: in 2025, Eggnog Latte didn’t arrive with the first holiday-menu drop.
Starbucks launched its main holiday menu on November 6, 2025, with drinks including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte and Iced Gingerbread Chai.
Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte came later, arriving December 2.
So even after Starbucks announces the 2026 Christmas menu, don’t immediately assume Eggnog is out if it isn’t sitting in that very first lineup.
It could be another later-season drop.
Again, that is not a confirmed 2026 release plan. It’s simply how Starbucks handled the drink last year.
