Some kids play grocery store. Target would like them to be very specific about which store.
The retailer’s 2026 holiday toy list has a whole “Play the Target way” section, including a red Target Toy Shopping Basket, a Target Toy Checklane and a Target XL Shopping Cart.
The basket and checkout are on the list
The basket and checklane are listed as Target exclusives. It’s a very literal way to bring the shopping trip home, particularly for the child who considers carrying the basket an important job.
The XL shopping cart is also an exclusive, but Target marks it coming soon. Being on the holiday list does not mean that cart is ready to ship today.
Check the individual listing before buying
Target says its full top-50 list starts at $4.99. That is the starting price for the overall assortment, not a confirmed price for these three Target-themed toys.
Use each product’s current listing for its price, age guidance and availability. The basket, checklane and XL cart are separate items, so don’t assume one box recreates the entire store.
At least the pretend Target trip can end without anyone asking whether we really needed another throw pillow.
