This Sea Turtle Rescue in Georgia is Offering a Free Educational Series That Is All About Turtles

Sea Turtles are such amazing creatures! If you have been wanting to learn more, but never had the extra time, how about now?

This is something you can do by yourself or with the kids! The more you know the better right?

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, Georgia has “Scute’s School”! Every day at 1 pm EST they will share new educational content.


This will be going on until April 10th. The “Scute’s School” Lessons will either be a link to an informational resource, or an educational video. You can see part one below! This one is about Kemp’s Ridley and Hawksbill Sea Turtles.


So, what the heck does “Scute” mean in “Scute’s School”? Scute are actually the bony plates that form turtle shells! You’ll learn about all of that and tons more over on their Facebook page!
