We Begged Crock-Pot for a Cauldron Slow Cooker. Toastmaster Finally Made One.

For years, Halloween people have been asking one extremely reasonable question:

Why has nobody made a slow cooker that looks like an actual witch’s cauldron?

And specifically, people kept asking Crock-Pot.

There was even a petition. Crock-Pot publicly acknowledged the requests. The internet kept asking. And somehow the cauldron still did not materialize.

So apparently Toastmaster decided it enjoyed money.

Yes, somebody finally made the cauldron slow cooker

The Toastmaster 4 Quart Cauldron Slow Cooker is a real, functioning slow cooker shaped like a black witch’s cauldron.

This is not a candy bowl with a warming plate jammed under it. It has a removable stoneware crock, a tempered glass lid, and Low, High and Warm settings. Select Brands says the 4-quart size is meant for things like soups, chili, dips, stews and shredded meats.

In other words: yes, you can make chili in a cauldron. You can make queso in a cauldron. You can keep cider warm in a cauldron.

We have arrived.

The funniest part is that people literally begged Crock-Pot to do this

A Change.org petition asking Crock-Pot to make cauldron slow cookers was started in 2025 and has collected thousands of signatures.

Crock-Pot eventually acknowledged all of the requests in a social post, telling the “kitchen witches and cauldron crafters” that it had heard them — while also saying the cauldron had not actually crossed into this world.

That did not exactly satisfy people.

And then Toastmaster just… made one.

I love this kind of product story because somewhere there is absolutely a meeting where one company is discussing market research and another company is apparently saying, “Wait. They want to give us $50 for a witch pot? Make the witch pot.”

It is supposed to be $49.99 — please do not pay the reseller price

Select Brands lists the Toastmaster cauldron slow cooker at $49.99. As of this update, it is sold out on the manufacturer’s site.

That matters because marketplace listings are already showing the thing for dramatically more than the manufacturer’s price.

I would wait for a proper restock before paying somebody $100-plus for a $49.99 slow cooker just because we all lost our minds over the little cauldron feet.

Here’s what you actually get

The official specs are refreshingly normal for something that looks like it should be full of eye of newt:

  • 4-quart capacity
  • Low, High and Warm settings
  • Removable stoneware crock
  • Tempered glass lid
  • Cool-touch side handles
  • 120 volts / 150 watts

The controls are on the cord rather than stuck across the front, which means the actual cooker gets to keep the whole black-cauldron look.

Anyway, Toastmaster: excellent work

I am not saying I need another slow cooker.

I am saying that if you make the slow cooker look like something I can use to serve bubbling green soup at a Halloween party, suddenly we are discussing an entirely different household purchase.

If you manage to catch the Toastmaster cauldron slow cooker at its normal $49.99 price, that is the number I would use as the sanity check before buying.

And if you need something to actually make in your tiny witch pot, we have slow cooker recipes worth clearing a Sunday for, because apparently the universe has finally provided the correct vessel.
