Trader Joe’s Halloween mini totes are back for $2.99 each, which is a pretty reasonable price for turning your lunch bag into a tiny Halloween accessory.
The Trick-or-Treat Mini Canvas Totes started arriving September 30. This year’s colors include black, green and purple, plus a limited amount of orange, Trader Joe’s told USA TODAY.
That orange detail is worth knowing before you head over with a very specific vision for your grocery-store bag collection.
How big are the Halloween mini totes?
They measure about 13 inches long, 11 inches tall and 6 inches deep. Think lunch, a few groceries or a little pile of Halloween candy. These are the mini bags, so check those measurements before assigning one an entire night’s trick-or-treat haul.
USA TODAY Network’s product rundown lists a 65% cotton and 35% polyester blend, with a pocket on each side. The $2.99 price is for one bag.
A reusable bag that can pull Halloween duty and then carry your lunch in November makes more sense than something you have to pack away on November 1. You could also use one as the gift bag for a small candy-and-snack surprise, then let the recipient keep using it.

The totes are a limited-time item, and availability varies by store. A September 30 launch date doesn’t tell you what’s left on a particular shelf today, especially if you’re after orange.
